A MAN who was convicted in May of killing his estranged wife in Bangor has been found dead in his prison cell.
Paul Martin Jordan, who was sentenced at Caernarfon Crown Court to 14 years imprisonment before being eligible for parole, had admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
He had denied murdering his 53 year old wife Betty at her home in Maesgeirchen, Bangor.
A Prison Service spokesperson said: “HMP Altcourse prisoner Paul Martin Jordan died in custody on 6 July 2018.
“As with all deaths in custody there will be an independent investigation by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman.”
Jordan, aged 54, was a former BT worker.
