FISHERMEN aboard an Anglesey charter boat had a whale of a time off the Anglesey coast on Sunday.
Aaron Smith, who runs Bad Boyz Anglesey Charter Fishing, was taking a group of anglers out on his charter boat Bad Boyz IV, at about 10am, when he spotted a huge Minke whale swimming alone near South Stack.
Aaron, who is 26, described the "amazing sight" as the 18-20ft whale circled his boat and came to the surface snorting through its blowhole.
"I have never seen a whale being so playful it was just an absolutely amazing sight. You don't usually see them so close, and on their own," he said.
"It was going round and round the boat, it rolled onto its belly, it was just enormous. It was like it was playing with us, for about an hour, before going on its way again. "
Aaron, managed to capture the entire dramatic encounter on video.
He added "It was just really great to see it, and the people on the fishing trip thought it was really good."
