A LARGE CROWD gathered on the streets of Bangor on Saturday to join in with the annual lively carnival.

Despite some cloudy skies and rain showers throughout, plenty of people gathered on the High Street to help bring the City to life.

The event, organised by Bangor Community Group, saw the parade leave Sackville Road before heading towards James Street and back up the High Street to the clock.

The circus themed carnival featured a mix of diverse colour, culture and fun with Bloc Swn leading the march down the street with their colourful blue bird display.

As always, there were plenty of stalls and floats on show and the funfair rides provided entertainment for guests.

Queen of the carnival this year was Libby, who was the princess last time around. The rest of the retinue featured Princess Miley, Rosebud Daisy and Petal Sera.

Queen Libby’s attendants on the day were Amy, Grace, Honey, pageboy Archie and flowergirl Mollie and Princess Miley’s attendants were Ruby, Roxy and flowergirl Seren.

A spokesperson for the Bangor Community Group said: “It was another successful event this year and we would like to thank everyone who joined us.”
