ORGANISERS of a golfing event held on Anglesey have raised £2037 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The annual fundraiser played at Storws Wen, Brynteg, was held on Sunday, May 27 as golfers battled against tricky conditions to complete the course.
Luckily, the majority of the event was held during the window of clear weather in between morning and afternoon storms.
Only nine holes were possible instead of the usual 18 as the rain began to pick up but nevertheless those involved were happy with the sum of money raised.
Rhys Jones, who represented the Howdens team on the day, said: "The atmosphere at the club and the support received was amazing.
"Everyone enjoyed the hospitality and food was kindly prepared and served by our Macmillan ladies." "It was a great day enjoyed by many and even the rain and storms couldn't spoil it."
