IT was another successful year for the Anglesey Vintage rally.

About 7,000 people went through the gates of Mona Showground for a weekend of nostalgic fun and a programme of entertainment.

The number of visitors dipped on Saturday, when the event competed with the royal wedding, the cup final, and sunny weather - which sent many visitors rushing for the beaches - but numbers rose again on Sunday to match previous years.

Attractions included steam engines, tractors, vintage bikes, cars, stationery engines, agricultural equipment, fair, crafts and stalls.

There were carriage rides by Cromlech Carriages, pulled by Twinkle and Napoleon, a Bubble Fairy and the Kangaroo Kid from Australia, Matt Coulter, quad bike jumping sensation was one of the events in the main arena.

Organiser Lloyd Pritchard said: “It’s was another brilliant year. Thanks to the volunteers, RAF cadets, Rotary and everyone who came and made it a success.”
