There has been such a great response to a new extra care housing development in Llangefni that additional drop-in day events have been arranged to help people find out more.

The Hafan Cefni extra care scheme opposite the Lidl store, is a partnership development between the Isle of Anglesey County Council, the Welsh Government and T? Glas Housing Society, part of the Pennaf Housing Group.

The scheme is specifically designed for local people aged 60 or over who wish to live independently in a home of their own with the peace of mind of 24-hour access to care and support,

Interest in the new development has proven so popular that a further series of six drop-in information events will be held at Llangefni Library next month between 9.30 am and 4 pm on the following days:

Friday May 4; Thursday and Friday May 10,11, 17 and 18 and Thursday May 24.

This is in addition to two days at the end of this week – Thursday April 26 and Friday April 27.

Photographs, plans, a short film, brochures and fact sheets about Hafan Cefni will be available and a representative from the Pennaf Group will also be on hand to answer questions.

Steve Robinson, Extra Care Services Manager with Pennaf added: “Hafan Cefni has been specifically designed to enable people to live well, in a home of their own, with access to support that can adapt as their needs change.

The scheme is an excellent option for those with a wide range of support needs, from those just looking for a little extra help to those with more complex requirements.”

Anyone interested can just pop in on one of the drop-in sessions, or can contact us by phoning 0800 183 5757 or emailing enquiries@tyglas.co.uk
