A man has died after a quad bike incident on Sunday evening.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the one-vehicle collision at about 7pm on the B4413 between Llanbedrog and Mynytho.

The rider was taken to hospital in Stoke by air ambulance but he sadly died. His next of kin have been informed.

Sergeant Meurig Jones of the Roads Policing Unit said: "Sadly this is now being treated as a fatal road traffic collision and our thoughts remain with the man’s family.

“We are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or anybody who may have seen the quad bike travelling along the B4413 prior to the collision to come forward.”

The road was closed to allow officers to carry out their initial enquiries and re-opened shortly after midnight.
