A FOOT stomping fusion of rootsy Americana, folk, and old time music is promised at a Bangor gig on Friday.

The trio Jaywalkers will be returning to the Blue Sky Café.

These former BBC Young Folk Award finalists Mike Giverin on mandolin, guitar, and backing vocals, Jay Bradberry, fiddle, guitar and lead vocals and Lucille Williams on double bass and backing vocals, are touring their fourth studio release Songs We Like (EP).

It follows on from the release in 2015 of their third studio album Weave, and has established them as one of the best bands working on the British folk and Americana music scene.

Together, they effortlessly fuse elements of Americana, folk, bluegrass, and old-time and the music Jaywalkers create is innovative, rooted deeply in tradition, and exhilarating.

This will be the fourth time the band performs at the Blue Sky Cafe, with all other nights selling out, this promises to be an entertaining, foot stomping evening and is not to be missed.

The gig is at the Blue Sky Café, Bangor, on Friday, February 23. Tickets are £10. Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start.
