MULTI-AWARD winning Festival No.6 has scooped Best Small Festival at the prestigious NME Awards 2018.

In the NME Awards the festival beat off stiff competition from the likes of Kendal Calling, End of the Road, Wilderness and Boardmasters.

It is the second time in six years that the festival has won the NME accolade.

festival No.6 is renowned for its incredible location, set within the Italianate village of Portmeirion, nestled between Snowdonia and the Irish Sea, and its commitment to programming the best in live music, DJs, arts and culture.

Festival organiser Luke Huxham said: “Festival No.6 is a very special event and unique in the festival calendar in that the location – Portmeirion itself – is the star of the show.”

“We are so lucky to host one of the world’s best festivals here every year and we are grateful to the local people and community that not only make it possible but an absolute pleasure and one of the UK’s festival highlights.

"We’re delighted with the award from the NME and we are striving once again to make the 2018 festival an award-winning edition.”

Earlier this week Festival No.6 unveiled a blockbuster line-up for its next event being held from Thursday, September 6 until Sunday September 9,
