YNYS Môn Labour election candidate Albert Owen was joined on the campaign trail by Wales First Minister Carwyn Jones AM today (Wednesday).

Mr Owen and Mr Jones visited Holyhead, Beaumaris and Menai Bridge to speak to residents and business owners about their party’s economic policies.

Mr Owen said: “Both Menai Bridge and Beaumaris have many small businesses and I want to see them going from strength to strength.

“Indeed, Menai Bridge High St is the most economically active high street in Wales.

“I want to see this continue and it’s success replicated across the island.”

“On Anglesey we have seen many small businesses set up over the last five years.

“Hopefully after a change in government and with our better plan for business we shall see towns all across the island, not just Beaumaris and Menai Bridge flourish creating a firm economic foundation for the island.”

Carwyn Jones AM, added: “At the heart of all we do will be our determination to fight for jobs and grow the Welsh economy. People in Wales don’t want another five years of cross-border scraps.

“This election gives us the chance to have two Labour Governments working together in the interests of Wales.”
