TEAMS searching for a diver off the Anglesey coast have found a body.
Members of the Police Joint Underwater Search Team and the RNLI, who were searching for a diver off South Stack, recovered a body yesterday evening (Monday, September 1).
The body was recovered in an area known as Abrahams Bosom.
Inspector Brian Kearney, of North Wales Police, said: “Formal identification is yet to take place however it is believed to be that of the missing diver who is a European national.
“Efforts are being made to notify the man’s next of in via the foreign embassy.”
The coroner for north West Wales has been informed.
A North Wales Police spokeswoman thanked all agencies and volunteers who assisted.
