DELAYS are expected as road resurfacing work is scheduled to take place in Bangor later this month.

Essential work will start on Caernarfon Road in Bangor on Monday, July 21, between Ainon Road and Farrar Road.

The road will be closed between Ainon Road and Station Road for the duration of the works and traffic management will be in place to enable vehicles to access the railway station from Penchwintan road.

The work, which will be completed in phases, is likely to take around three weeks to complete.

A Gwynedd Council spokesperson added: “The work is being carried out during the summer holidays so that disruption to parents, staff and students travelling to the local schools and colleges is kept to a minimum.

"While every effort will be made to minimise disruption to traffic, some delay will be inevitable and we would urge motorists to leave plenty of time for their journey.”
