STJARNAN of Iceland will be Bangor City's opposition in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.

The Citizens face a trip to the Icelandic town of Garðabær to take on the team who finished fourth in last season's Icelandic top flight.

Stjarnan are currently midway through their 2014 campaign, and currently find themselves top of the Urvalsdeild, having not lost a league match so far this season.

The Citizens were due to play the first leg in Iceland on Thursday, July 3, before welcoming their opponents to the Book People Stadium a week later on Thursday, June 10.

However, the arrangements for the tie are subject to change this afternoon.

The winner of the tie face a second qualifying round tie against Scottish Premier League outfit Motherwell FC.

City's compatriots Aberystwyth Town were paired with Derry City, while Airbus UK take on Norwegian side Haugesund.
