The two occupants of the car fled the scene of the collision on foot.

POLICE are looking for two occupants of a car involved in a crash with a roundabout in Bangor.

Officers were called to the scene of a road traffic collision at 9.25pm on Tuesday evening, when a grey Volkswagen Golf collided with the roundabout near St David’s Retail Park, on Caernarfon Road.

The collision caused a chevron sign on the roundabout to be crushed.

The driver and passenger of the car immediately got out of the vehicle and fled the scene of the crash, with one running towards the city centre and the other running towards Hendrewen Road.

Police are unsure whether either of the two male occupants were injured.

One of the men wore a grey hoodie, while the other was said to be wearing jeans, a horizontally striped jumper and fair hair.

A North Wales Police spokesman said: “At this stage, we are trying to trace where they are. A police search at the time could not find the two men, so police are interested in hearing from any witnesses and are urging anyone with any information to contact 101, quoting incident number RC14067361.”
