BANGOR residents and traders have united to help those who lost everything in a fire that ravaged a Bangor pub.
Fundraising events have been organised to help three staff members whose possessions were destroyed by the blaze at the Three Crowns on Well Street.
Jason Robertshaw, a lecturer at Coleg Menai who lived at the pub, is being treated at a hospital in Birmingham after jumping from a second window to espace the flames.
Tracy Huckfield and Katie Thomas, who are friends of Jason, have organised an event at Pagan’s Pole Circus and Dance Academy (the old Joop club) from 10am-6pm on Sunday, April 13.
Tracy thanked: “We’ve pounded the pavements of Bangor and so many businesses are behind us, offering raffle prizes and auctions items.
”It’s quite tragic what’s happened and the community has come together.”
For more information, call Tracey on 07973473295, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit “Fundraisers for the Three Crowns Residents” on Facebook.
Gwynedd councillor Chris O'Neal has organised a collection on Facebook.
He said: "The site has had numerous comments of support, donations coming through and offers of clothing for the people who have been affected.
"Ultimately, it shows a massive sign of the strength of community spirit, not just here in Bangor but in the surrounding area."
Paypal donations can be made by emailing Sales@intensepublicprotection.co.uk. For more information, visit “Support for 3 Crowns Bangor” on Facebook.
Waterloo, Varsity and Rascals are holding collections for the three men.
