THREE men have been arrested after drugs raids were carried out on Anglesey.

The men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were arrested after police carried out three search warrants in the Llangefni and Bodffordd areas today (Thursday, March 6).

A North Wales Police spokesman said the men, who are all from Anglesey, were being detained and questioned in relation to the possession and supply of Class A drugs.

DI Stephen Williams, who coordinated the operation said “Warrants were executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act and a quantity of what we believe to be controlled drugs and associated paraphernalia and cash recovered.

“This is an intelligence led operation and conducted as part of our on-going effort to tackle illegal drug possession and supply in the area.

"I’d also like to reassure and thank the local community for their help, support and patience during this operation which demonstrates that reliable information will be acted upon in a positive manner helping reinforce our robust stance against a criminal minority who plague our community with controlled drugs.”

Anyone with information on the supply and use of controlled drugs should contact North Wales Police on 101, or telephone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
