THREE people have been charged in connection with producing cannabis on Anglesey.

North Wales Police said two men, aged 27 and 28, and a 47 year old woman were charged this week with offences ranging from the production, supply and possession of cannabis, while one was also charged with supplying cocaine.

DI Arwyn Jones said: “This was an intelligence led operation under the umbrella of Operation Scorpion, and undertaken as part of our on-going effort to tackle drug production and supply in the county.

“We will continue to address the concerns of the local community and will actively target those involved in serious and organised crime, particularly the production and supply of controlled drugs, and the associated criminality that goes along with their use.”

The three were charged after police executed a search warrant in November issued under the Misuse of Drugs At.

They are due to appear before Holyhead Magistrates Court on February 20.

DI Jones added: “I’d urge anyone with information regarding the production and supply of controlled drugs, or anyone they believe is involved in organised crime, to contact North Wales Police on 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
