WELSH superstar Sir Tom Jones will perform at this year's Access All Eirias gig in Colwyn Bay.

The veteran peformer will play to crowds at Parc Eirias on Friday, July 25, as part of the annual open-air live music gig.

This will be the first time that the pop legend, whose career has spanned more than 50 years, has played to a large audience in North Wales.

Sir Tom said: "Believe it or not, this will be my first big outdoor show in North Wales. Coming back to Wales to perform is always a treat, and in the fantastic location of Eirias Stadium we're going to put on a hell of a show."

Access All Eirias began in 2012 with performances from Olly Murs, Pixie Lott and Only Boys Aloud, while last year saw Little Mix, Conor Maynard, Rhydian and Sophie Evans.

The event is supported by Conwy County Borough Council and the Bay of Colwyn Town Council.

Iwan Davies, Chief Executive of Conwy County Borough Council, said: "It's great to see Access All Eirias return for a third year. We're really looking forward to welcoming Tom Jones to Colwyn Bay; this booking is a real coup for the region and an opportunity not to be missed."

"These are exciting times for Colwyn Bay and it's a privilege for us all to be a part of it."

Pablo Janczur, director of promoters Orchard Entertainment, said: "We are excited to announce Tom as our first headliner for Access All Eirias, an event that continues to grow through a close and very supportive partnership with the great team at Conwy Council.

"I think the people of North Wales can look forward to a tremendous weekend of entertainment in July."

Tickets will be available from January 24, from www.accessalleirias.com and Venue Cymru Box office (01492) 872000
