Man hit by car in Llangefni

A MALE pedestrian has been left with "life-changing injuries" after being hit by a car in Llangefni yesterday (Thursday).

North Wales Police were called to the scene of a collision at 3.45pm, outside Lidl supermarket, where a man in his 60's had been struck by a blue Vauxhall Astra.

A Wales Air Ambulance helicopter crew also attended the scene and airlifted the man to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan.

A Wales Air Ambulance spokesperson confirmed the man had sustained head and facial injuries as a result of the collision.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said the injuries were "life-changing, but not life-threatening."

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101.
