A MAN was rescued from a fire at sheltered accommodation on Anglesey.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to a report of a Madryn Dysw in Amlwch at 3.30am yesterday (Sunday, November 3).
Chris Nott, temporary group manager, said: "Two fire appliances from Amlwch were mobilised to the single storey sheltered accommodation in Madryn Dysw, where fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a 53-year-old man.
"An ambulance crew took the man was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd, after preliminary treatment at the scene for smoke inhalation."
No one else was affected by the fire, which was confined to the bedroom, but there was smoke damage to the rest of the property.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
