A MAN has been arrested in connection with a burglary on Anglesey.
North Wales Police confirmed an Anglesey man, aged 31, had been arrested and questioned in relation to the burglary, where two masked intruders assaulted the occupants of a house in Llanfaes and made off with an “amount of cash.”
Investigating officer DC Chris Burrow, of Llangefni CID added that, despite an arrest being made, the investigation was “still very much ongoing.”
DC Burrow added that crimes of this nature were rare on Anglesey.
He said: “Over the last 12 months we have seen a steady decrease in crimes of violence and with the continued support and vigilance from the local community I’m sure we can quickly identify those responsible.
“It is worth reminding all house holders to be vigilant at all times, always ensure your property is locked and secured and if you see any suspicious behaviour contact police immediately.”
The man was bailed until December, to allow time for officers to complete their enquiries.
Anyone who has any knowledge of the burglary - which happened shortly after 8pm on Friday, October 18 - should contact Police on 101, or telephone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, and quote RC13172772.
