AN ANGLESEY man has been arrested in connection with an ice cream van break-in.
The man, aged 19, was arrested at the scene of the break-in at Caergeiliog on Thursday, September 12.
He was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, and bailed to appear at Holyhead Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 3.
North Wales Police Inspector Guy Blackwell, speaking on vehicle crime in general, said: “We have seen a 20 per cent reduction in vehicle crime in the year to date and I would remind people not to give thieves a chance by leaving valuables in vehicles.
“Opportunist thieves only need the slightest temptation to break into a car or van so please don’t leave any valuable items in your vehicle and don’t leave anything on display.”
Anyone with information on thefts from vehicles should contact North Wales Police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
