POLICE want to speak to a man in connection with a theft from a train travelling from Anglesey.
British Transport Police (BTP) have today (September 13) released images of the man wanted in relation to the theft of a passenger’s luggage from the 12.32 Holyhead to Hereford Arriva Wales train on Monday, August 19.
Investigation officer PC Kirk Smith said the victim, a 43 year old Hereford woman, boarded the train with her two children at Holyhead shortly after 12.30pm.
He added: “She checked on her bag at around 2pm, as the train was approaching Rhyl, but when she went back an hour later, near Shrewsbury, it was missing.”
The black trolley suitcase - which contained various personal items, had red tape on the handles - and its contents are worth around £500.
