A MAN who was found hanged in a field near Bangor has been named.
Walkers discovered the body of Robert Anthony Lamont, aged 31, of Bethesda, hanging from a tree near Hendre Hall in Talybont on Saturday morning.
North Wales Police called Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team to assist in recovering the body of the man, who is thought to be from the region.
Team members placed the man in a body bag and transported him to the mortuary at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
North west Wales coroner Dewi Pitchard-Jones has opened and adjourned an inquest into the death, which not being treated as suspicious.
