A 22 year old man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison after being found guilty of two rape offences.
Parminder Chohan Singh, who was living between Wolverhampton and Newtown at the time of the offences, was sentenced for the offences that took place in the Newtown area in July 2012 following an eight day trial at Caernarfon Crown Court.
The judge sentencing Singh described him as "an arrogant, self -centred bully with no respect for women."
The judge added: "You considered women to be on earth for his sexual gratification only to then be cast aside."
Agreeing with the judge's comments, Inspector Dianne Davies said: "Again I find myself humbled that victims of such truly despicable offences show remarkable strength of character in standing up and being counted.
“This has been a very challenging investigation and trial and I hope that the victims will find some comfort in the convictions and sentence.”
