A BANGOR post office is set to extend opening hours and receive a new look.
Post Office Ltd announced plans to extend opening hours to 72 hours a week at the post office on Penrhyn Avenue, Maesgeirchen.
Tony Jones, Post Office regional network manager for Wales, said: “We know how important the Post Office service is to the community and we feel sure that our customers old and new will welcome the longer opening hours and modern open plan format.
“This move will help secure Post Office services in the area for the future.”
The new style branch, which is due to open in April, is part of a scheme to revamp 6,000 branches around the UK.
Services will include automated banking, bill and budget payment schemes, Post Office card account, postal orders and postage.
It will also deal with inland letters/packets (including signed for and special delivery), inland parcels, international letters, small packets and printed papers.
