A COMMUNITY meeting place at the heart of a village will see further improvements as part of renovation work.
Glan Conwy's Church House will soon undergo work to its main hall, with improvements including upgraded electrics, the laying of a new floor and new seating.
This will be the second phase in the restoration of the 80-year old building, which in 2009 underwent work to install new disabled toilets, a new boiler and improved kitchen facilities.
The work is funded by grants from Conwy council's Rural Development Plan, the Welsh Government and Glan Conwy Community Council, with guidance provided by Conwy Voluntary Service Council (CVSC).
Weekly coffee mornings held at the Church House every Thursday have also brought in funding.
A statement from the Glan Conwy Church House Committee said: "Thanks are due to the ladies and men who make the cakes, make the coffee, wash the dishes and see that the customers enjoy a splendid coffee.
"This work is vital in raising the funds needed for the day to day expenses of Church House."
The statement added that work would cause a "minimum amount" of disruption to users.
