MORE THAN 80 jobs at a Mochdre car plant could be under threat as a parent company goes into administration.
Quinton Hazell Automative Limited (QH), which has 83 employees at a plant on an industrial estate in Mochdre, went into administration last week as KPMG were appointed administrators of parent company, Klarius Group Ltd
42 redundancies were made QH's distribution division in Hinckley in Leicestershire and nine at its headquarters near Manchester airport, with other redundancies expected.
Paul Flint, Joint Administrator and Associate Partner at KPMG, said: "Prolonged challenging trading conditions in the automotive parts sector impacted Quinton Hazell’s performance. This created cashflow pressures and affected Quinton Hazell’s ability to trade as a going concern.”
