Young man attacked on Anglesey

A YOUNG man was attacked as he made his way from work.

The man, who is in his mid 20s, was assaulted by another man while he walked along Lon Isallt in Trearddur Bay at around 10.20pm yesterday (Thursday, January 31).

Investigating officer DC Leigh Anderson of Holyhead CID said the assailant demanded the man hand over his mobile phone.

He added: “When this was refused he was physically attacked.

“The offender then fled empty handed from the scene along Lon St Ffraidd in the general direction of Holyhead.”

The victim’s injuries were not serious.

The offender is described as white, aged between 20 and 30 years and approximately 5 ft 8 inches tall.

He was of slim to medium build, unshaven and was wearing a dark blue hooded jacket.
