A ROAD in Y Felinheli will be closed for at least a week over fears it may have been damaged by nearby excavation works.

Gwynedd Council engineers inspected the road over concerns that the works on private land next to Caernarfon Road could have compromised its structure.

The council has made arrangements with bus companies to take children to school.

Bws Padarn (Number 72) is providing a service through the village, and the council is running a free shuttle mini bus service to connect with other services running from Caernarfon.

The mini bus will pick up and drop off by St Marys Church on the Caernarfon side of the village and by the Halfway House on the Bangor side of the village.
