ALAN Morgan’s Llandudno FC revival continued at the weekend as they completed the double over Llanrheadr with a 2-1 win.
A spirited performance from Llandudno earned them back-to-back victories, having picked up a 2-1 victory last weekend, as they held off a first half onslaught against their much-changed hosts.
A 25 yard free-kick that sailed over Andy Metcalf put Llanrheadr ahead after 10 minutes, but the stopper made amends with a great penalty save just before the half-hour mark.
Llandudno’s hard work paid off on 54 minutes when a Metcalf goal-kick ran through to Chris Melia, who slotted in the leveller.
The goal sparked Tudno into life, and Tom Dix popped up with the winner soon after, sweeping in after keeper Connor Mee spilled the ball under a fair challenge from Iwan Williams.
The match-winner blotted his copy-book with a red card on 90 minutes, but Llandudno saw off six minutes of added time to pick up another precious win, moving up to twelfth in the table.
