FORMER Aberystwyth Town boss Alan Morgan has been appointed the new manager of Llandudno FC.

The new man replaces Deiniol Graham, who stepped down from the Maesdu Park hotseat last week. He said he was looking forward to turning around the fortunes of the club, who currently sit second-from-bottom in the Huws Gray Alliance.

He added: "I am delighted to join Llandudno FC with the same aspirations as myself. I will be looking for professionalism and a lot of hard work and together we will achieve Welsh Premier football.”

Alan, who has a UEFA Pro Licence, enjoyed a successful stint with Tranmere Rovers Academy and as Nev Powell’s number two at Bangor City, on top of his two years at the helm at Aber.

Chairman Clive Rushton said "from a strong list of candidates Alan proved to us to be the perfect fit, both in terms of the way he wants the game played, his contacts within the game along with his experience of managing within the Welsh Premier League.

“Alan's looking to bring in new players who can make a difference and guide our correct league position, that's exactly what we need.

“Having said that, we intend to make all our signings with a view to the long term. Our aim is premier league football and the board firmly believe we have the man in place to help us achieve that.”
