Police investigate fatal Anglesey crash

NORTH Wales Police are investigating the crash which led to the death of an Anglesey teenager.

Motorcyclist Craig Collin, aged 17, of Benllech, died a week after the four vehicle collision on the B5110  in Brynteg, nearly a mile from Llangefni.

The collision involved a white Ford Transit van which was parked close to some road works, a blue BMW 1 Series vehicle, a black motorcycle, and a black Renault Megane.

Craig was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, and later airlifted to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, Stoke.

No one else was injured in the crash.

Sergeant Jane Thomas of the Roads Policing Unit, who is leading the investigation, said Craig's family were being supported by a specialist family liason officer.

She added:  "As you can imagine they are devastated.  This is a tragic incident which will have shaken the local community and I would ask that if you have any information that may assist our investigation to contact police immediately."
