THE hunt is on for a thug who attacked a man on crutches in Bangor.

The man, aged 51, was punched in the face several times by another man of a similar age outside Bron Castell Flats on Bangor High Street.

As a result of the attack the man has sustained serious injuries to his face requiring surgery.

PC Bryn Jones urged anyone who witnessed the attack or had any information to contact him at Bangor Police station.

He said: “This was a totally unprovoked attack and extremely callous considering the man was on crutches too.

“In particularly I am very keen to hear from a man who walked passed the lead up to the assault but was encouraged to leave the scene by the assailant.”

Anyone with information on the attack, which happened at around 10.30pm on October 31,  should contact North Wales Police on 101, and quote reference RC12181073.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
