TOP international sides are set to touch down in Eirias Park on Friday in the first of two blockbuster rugby double-headers.

Old rivals Russia and USA face off at 6pm, followed by an exciting clash between Canada and Samoa, who a week later will take on Wales at the Millennium Stadium.

The Autumn international matches, funded by the International Rugby Board and supported by the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) and Conwy County Borough Council, will bring top-level rugby to the Parc Eirias stadium, following on from the success of the sell-out Welsh Under 20s 6 Nations matches earlier in the year.

Cllr Graham Rees, Portfolio holder for Tourism, Marketing and Leisure, said: "We're proud that we've been able to secure these exciting fixtures for Eirias, Colwyn Bay. It's clear there are many fans and enthusiastic spectators here in North Wales and we're pleased to be able to offer the facilities for everyone to enjoy top flight Rugby."

Tickets for the double header, as well as next week’s matches between Tonga and USA, followed by Canada versus Russia, are still available from the Venue Cymru Box Office on (01492) 872000, priced at £16.
