THE hunt is on for a hit and run driver who collided with a motorcyclist in Bangor.

PC Alan Parry said the motorcyclist was travelling along upper Farrar Road at 8.30am today (Friday, October 12) and was hit from his offside by an unknown vehicle as he approached the junction with Deiniol Road.

He added: “The offending motorist left the scene without stopping.”

“The motorcyclist was riding a blue Suzuki moped, and he believes the vehicle that struck him was a car, but at this time we have no further information.

“At the time of the collision I am certain there would have been plenty of other motorists and pedestrians making there way to work and I’d ask that if anyone witnessed this collision they make contact with me.”

The motorcyclist, who suffered minor injuries, was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has any information on the incident, should call North Wales Police on 101.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
