Prestatyn edged out in Nantporth debut

PRESTATYN Town ran Bangor City close in the opening league fixture at their new Nantporth Stadium.

Player-boss Neil Gibson opened the scoring for Town, but strikes either side of half time secured the three points for City.

Frozen pitches across North Wales forced most of this weekend's fixures to be posponed, with Rhyl's fixture with Rhos Aelwyd  one of the casualties.

Rugby was also off the menu with Wales in 6 Nations action, but Rhyl Hockey Club beat the cold to pick up a 2-0 win away to Colwyn Bay.
