FROZEN PITCHES across North Wales forced most of this weekend's fixures to be posponed.
The freezing temperatures cancelled almost all of the Huws Gray Alliance and Welsh Alliance fixtures, as well as Colwyn Bay's home date with Bishop's Stortford.
Local rugby was also off the menu due to Wales' 6 Nations fixtures, but Colwyn Bay Hockey Club survived the big freeze to take on Rhyl at Rydal Penrhos all weather pitch.
