THIRTEEN-man Ruthin Youth were on a hiding to nothing when they travelled north to tackle Colwyn Bay.
The Blues arrived with only 14 players, with uncontested scrums being the order of the day, and things got even worse for Ruthin within the first five minutes when an ankle injury reduced them to 13 players.
Colwyn Bay were 17-0 up at the break.
Ruthin applied more pressure in the second half and good phase play and recycling saw Phyl Roberts score a deserved try in the corner.
