A MAN has been arrested after a car crashed and overturned in Upper Colwyn.

The incident occurred on Llanelian Road just before 3pm on Wednesday when the car hit a tree, a garage wall and then overturned.

A North Wales Police Spokesman confirmed the force’s helicopter had been scrambled as officers searched for the man following the crash.

He was arrested shortly after.

The crash also caused damage to a telegraph pole.

A BT spokesman said lines to two customers went down but engineers have since made the area safe and restored the connection.
