PRESTATYN face a second round tie at Abergele or Buckley in this season’s Welsh Cup after being given a bye in the opening round of Wales premier competition.

The match is expected to be played on May 6.

Although Prestatyn will figure in Division Two of the Liverpool Competition after their second successive relegation tumble last summer, the seasiders can still look forward to measuring themselves against Premier Division opposition after being paired with heavyweights Colwyn Bay in all three of the Competition’s annual Knockout Trophy opening matches on April 14.

Prestatyn Firsts will face the formidable Bay at Beach Close while the clubs' Second X1s will do battle in the Chester Cup at Rhos-on-Sea with the Third teams paired together in the Emblee Trophy at Prestatyn, to be played on a Sunday.
