FOUR Crosses have strengthened their Spar Mid Wales League Two title bid with the signing of midfielder Richie Harris.

The 27-year-old former TNS and Welshpool ace returns to senior football after a season recuperating from a serious injury picked up on his debut for Newtown at Cefn Druids in 2009.

Manager Nick Popyk said: “Richie is a great addition to our squad for the second half of the season.

“If he hadn’t picked up his injury at Newtown he would still be playing in the Welsh Premiership.

“He has been playing on a Sunday so his match fitness is back there and as soon as I knew there was a slight interest from him we started to talk.

“Richie is keen and can only help us in driving the club forward and looking for the success we crave.”
