A NEW buyer has been found for a troubled Anglesey fish farm, safeguarding 32 jobs at the site.

The farm in Dinmor Quarry, Penmon, which was previously owned by Greek company Selonda UK and a Saudi business called Jazadco, was rumoured to be in financial trouble in December.

The Welsh Government, who have spent around £5 million pounds in grants to the farm since it was established in 2002, had said they were holding talks to safeguard the farm’s future and on Thursday it was announced that a new buyer had been found.
The new owners of the farm, which produces 1,000 tonnes of sea bass every year, will trade as Anglesey Aquaculture Limited.
