STRONG winds and stormy weather conditions are continuing to affect Anglesey and Gwynedd.
Earlier this week, a trampoline was reported on the A55 at Menai Bridge, Ysgol Bodffordd was closed due to a power cut and a fire in Lon y Wern, Bangor, was believed to have been sparked by a power surge caused by the bad conditions.
In Bodedern, a dog was also eletrocuted by an electric cable brought down by a trampoline blown by the high winds.
Cllr Gwilym Jones, who represents the Llanfair yn Neubwll ward, said weather conditions had been bad for the last few days.
“The wind has been terrible here,” he said.
“I travel into work and there were wheely bins blowing about on the side of the road.”
Despite the high winds ferry services from Holyhead have been operating as normal, however a spokesman for Stena Line said the outlook is likely to remain “wet and windy with moderate to rough conditions”.
The Met Office are expecting winds to die down by the end of the week.
