Teenager injured in A55 crash near Bangor

A TEENAGE boy was seriously injured in a road traffic collision on the A55.

The boy, who was in a group of pedestrians, was hit by a silver BMW shortly after 2am yesterday (Sunday, January 1) ojn the A55 at Tal-y-Bont near Bangor

He sustained serious leg injuries and was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

One lane of the westbound carriageway was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The driver of the BMW stopped at the scene.
