THE former manager of a sub post office in Bangor has been jailed for eight months after stealing almost £25,000.

Damian Peter Owen, 28, of Menai Bridge, denied stealing the money from the Glanadda sub post office on Caernarfon Road, Bangor.

However, a jury  found him guiltly at a trial in Mold Crown Court earlier this month.

Judge Niclas Parry sentenced Owen at a hearing of Mold Crown Court, sitting in Chester.
