A 700ft high zip line could be built in a disused part of a slate quarry under plans submitted to Gwynedd Council.
The zip line, which would be the longest in Europe and the second longest in the world, would be built across a disused part of Penrhyn Quarry in Bethesda, and is being proposed by Sean Taylor, who runs Treetops adventure park in Betws-y-Coed.
Mr Taylor said: "It's going to be a cultural and educational journey as well as we want to give the customers a bit of the quarry's history.
"The quarry spent all of its existence keeping the general public out but now it's inviting people in."
Mr Taylor added that if the proposal was approved it would great jobs and revenue for the local area.
"We'd be looking at ten positions immediately," he said.
