ANGLESEY residents have the chance to voice their views on proposed wind turbine developments on the Island.
Commissioner with responsibility for planning and environment Alex Aldridge urged Anglesey residents to take part in the consultation.
“As commissioner for planning and environment, I’m very much aware of the delicate balance that faces this Authority, and local residents, with regard to the contesting views on producing clean renewable energy and the visual impact on an Island which rightly boasts many, many spectacular areas of natural beauty,” he said.
The draft Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) document on Onshore Wind Energy has been prepared for public consultation by the Anglesey and Gwynedd Joint Planning Policy Unit.
The document and consultation form can be downloaded from the council’s website www.anglesey.gov.uk/consultations.
Paper copies can be viewed at public libraries, the Anglesey Council’s offices at Llangefni and Penrhyn Hall in Bangor.
