FAST-growing Wrexham firm Moneypenny hopes to create 100 new jobs after opening its newly-built offices.

The 8,000 sq ft building lies next to the company’s current site at Wrexham Technology Park and will house the firm’s property and legal teams.

Moneypenny handles telephone calls for businesses of all sizes across the UK including estate agents and law firms.

The official opening was held yesterday.

Glenn Jackson, managing director of Moneypenny, said: “This is a significant milestone for our company and the realisation of our medium term growth ambitions.

“This new space allows us to recruit additional high-calibre employees locally and gives the teams adequate space and up-to-date facilities to help keep doing a fantastic job.”

Mr Jackson said the newly-constructed offices underlined the company’s commitment to the region.

He said: “We have been operating very successfully in Wrexham for more than 10 years now and we are committed to the area because of the great people we have been able to recruit.

“We now look forward to maintaining the momentum as we both consolidate our market leading position and look at new avenues for growth.”

Hate to say it but I did tell you so....and here's a successful company saying the exact same...you can't get better than the people of Wrexham...despite the constant scare mongering by Cllrs and media and publicity given to the minority of yobbo's

Strange set up??..handling telephone calls for estate agents and law firms..so a load of people sitting in offices not producing anything of value whatsoever adding to the unproductive virtual economy...and expanding fast....

Nice to see these jobs in the UK and not India. Maybe they could pitch for the National Rail Enquiries work.

Tommy - please explain why the creation of up to 100 jobs within the locality is pointless during the worse economic crisis within living memory? The general conception would be that local workers spend money locally thus improving the local economy. Also how are 'quoted' estate agents and law firms part of the virtual economy. In my opinion you are an uneducated penis.

Tell me tommy, with you being the only socialist in the village, would you rather the people had no job at all as things stand at the moment?, reading the SW and planning the revolution once the pubs close, with the aid of a giro, is outdated.

100 jobs may not seem a lot to some people... but its better than none at all.

Tommy, I would love to know what contribution you are making to the economy and society in general. By the sounds of it not much, considering you are critising the people who are actually working for living in an economy which is going down the pan! Many companies in the Wrexham area are currently making people redundant, my Fiance inculded, where as Moneypenny are working hard to provide jobs in the local area.
