Man charged over Llanidloes dam tragedy

A 24-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, after four members of a family died near Llanidloes.

The man, who has not been named by police but has been named locally as Gordon Dyche, was charged with the offence which took place on April 20, at the Bwlch y Gle Dam, Clywedog, Llanidloes on the B4518.

Four members of the same family from south Wales died when their car went over the edge of the reservoir into the water.

They had been on holiday in the area. One woman survived the incident.

Dyche will appear at Welshpool Magistrates Court on November 22.
